Lie out on one of our sand beaches or put a chair on the marina dock at sunset to watch the sky as it changes into night. Or, take a walk and meet people strolling along the Thessalon River, which runs from the lake right through the centre of this charming little town.
Campers are welcome at our Lakeside Park Campground, located right across the road from the beach. Our motel has been named as one of the top 500 best places to eat in Canada and we have two great bed and breakfasts. After you are settled in, perhaps you would enjoy a round at our local nine-hole golf course.
Situated at the point where Hwy 17 and Hwy 129 intersect, the Thessalon area is an excellent base camp for some of the best canoeing, fishing and hunting in Canada. For arts-lovers we have many creative small businesses and artists in the area who are ready to share their talents and ideas with you. Indeed, we are proud of our town, a true gateway to the North.
